Post Birth Care

This is a crucial time for you, Mum.
During the birthing process, you may have received a lot of attention,
BUT it's important to remember that support and genuine care for you are still needed.

You did the hard work carrying and birthing, but parents, sorry to tell you, it is not over yet. After your bundle of joy arrives, you will be nursing, carrying and cuddling. No Workplace Health and Safety Officer is ensuring that two other people are available to help you lift and shift your way through the day. Nor do you get RDOs to recover if you are in pain. Parents who have never experienced back pain can develop neck and back pain after childbirth as they care for their newborns. Feeding, changing, bathing, and dressing your baby all day and night can strain your neck and back in ways you never thought possible.

Chiropractic care can help restore the body to functioning optimally, even helping rebalance your body's emotions. Your focus is on caring for your family, but what will happen if you are in too much pain? It would help if you took the time to focus on your well-being, and this is where Balanced for Life can help.

Why you should see a chiropractor after pregnancy.

How may Balanced Birth Chiropractors help you after pregnancy?

C-section scar tissue reduction using our MLS Medical Lasers.

Rehabilitation to safely bounce back to your best functional body.

Scar Tissue Reduction

Our MLS medical laser therapy uses light to target the scar tissue and stimulate the body's natural healing processes. The MLS medical laser reduces inflammation, improves blood circulation, and promotes collagen production in the affected area (collagen is a crucial protein that contributes to the skin's structure and elasticity, and its production can help to remodel the scar tissue, making it less prominent and more aesthetically pleasing). This can help improve the scar's appearance and promote better healing, leading to reduced redness, swelling, and discomfort associated with the C-section scar.

Baby Chiropractic Assessment

Growing up can be tough. Being born can be a bit of a challenge too, especially when you add in all the little bumps and bruises that come with it.

Our Balanced Birth chiropractors are here to gently and safely help with some common childhood complaints.

When to get a chiro baby check?

  • Breastfeeding is difficult

  • Difficulty turning head to one side/ prefers one breast over the other

  • The baby is rolling in one direction or struggling to roll at all

  • Sleeping difficulties

  • Unsettled baby

  • Before and after tongue tie revision care

  • Flat head/asymmetrical head

Our chiropractors do gentle stretches and movements combined with soft cranial releases to help encourage better movement.

Post Partum Rehabilitation

Throughout pregnancy, your spine and pelvis undergo significant stress due to the natural changes happening in your body. In addition, the increased levels of relaxin during pregnancy( a protein that loosens the ligaments in the pelvis and softens and widens the cervix) often creates instability in your joints and spine, which alters movement patterns and strength. This is WHY postpartum rehabilitation is crucial in correcting your pelvis and spine alignment and enhancing muscle tone and function.
